Biosolids are the organic product of modern wastewater treatment, and agri-waste includes manure from livestock industry and organic residuals from farming and gardening, and is commonly composted. Both biosolids and agri-waste compost are beneficial resources which contain essential plant nutrients, improve soil fertility and productivity, enhance moisture retention, and reduce soil erosion. Therefore, biosolids and agri-waste compost can be beneficially recycled as a fertilizer and soil amendment for farming, gardening, landscaping, and soil reclamation. Also, biosolids and agri-waste can produce biogas and bioenergy through anaerobic digestion. Bioenergy includes electricity, steam, and heat produced using biogas. As a

Land reclamation is widely in need as human activities have irreversibly impacted the natural ecosystem. Severely disturbed soils can be reclaimed through the addition of biosolids and agri-waste compost to replace lost topsoil, improve soil fertility and stability, decrease soil erosion, and aid revegetation and afforestation/reforestation. Thus, they have been used successfully to reclaim surface strip mines, large construction sites, parks, wetlands and landfills.

How to establish plantation forests and manage them in a sustainable manner are important issues that we have dealt with for the past decades. Acid rain has been a global issue because of its damaging effects on human health and ecosystem productivity, especially in developing countries that are still in the process of industrialization and rapid increase of human population. We are specialized in using FORECAST ecosystem model and MAGIC model to simulate critical loads of nitrogen and sulfur for various ecosystems, and the consequences of acid rain under varying land use and ecosystem management scenarios. We have worked for Environment Canada to determine N critical loads for the forest ecosystems in the Georgia Basin, and are developing similar projects in China where acid rain is causing tremendous damages to crops and forests, and human health.
We have network resources overseas especially in China. We have developed extensive business networks with our Chinese counterparts in order to introduce advanced technologies and products/equipment from North America to China, and vice versa. We are able to help our clients enter Chinese market and make significant profits within acceptable ranges of time and costs in the business areas as described above.
